Update September 7, 2011
Demolition of breezeway floor is started. Interesting surprises under the old floor and on the edge of the old walk. As can be seen in the pictures, breezeway walls and glass roof are down, and the house is returned to its original look. I can only imagine how high the snow drifts would have gotten in the north nook of the house before the breezeway was built.
Pictures below show august 16th view of the damage of old breezeway, parapet wall above kitchen, chimneys. The silver maple tree trunks strewn about are about 48 inches in diameter. These are the monsters that did the damage to the north wall.
Pictures also show the damage to the east porch walls and later pictures show the demolition of these walls to expose the foundation so we can determine the best way to rebuild.
